All Characters & Squad Members in STAR WARS Zero Company

Star Wars Zero Company features a diverse cast of characters spanning squad operators, base personnel, and antagonists, all set against the backdrop of the Clone Wars' final days. This guide covers every confirmed character in the game, from the customizable protagonist Hawks to the shadowy leaders of the Infinite Coil.

Hawks – The Player Character

Hawks is the fully customizable protagonist and squad leader of Zero Company. Described as a former Republic officer, Hawks leads an unconventional group of hired professionals drawn from across the galaxy. Players can tailor Hawks' appearance and combat specialization to suit their preferred playstyle, making the protagonist a flexible tactical anchor for every mission.

Unlike other squad members, Hawks is immune to permadeath, ensuring the player's story thread remains intact throughout the campaign. Hawks also carries a confirmed debt to the Hutt clans, a narrative thread that appears to tie into the broader story and certain key characters encountered along the way.

Authored Operators – Story Companions

Authored operators are the named story characters who join Zero Company as the campaign progresses. Each brings a unique species background, combat role, and personal narrative. Trick is a human clone soldier and Hawks' longtime Clone Wars companion, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. Tel-Rea Vokoss, a Tognath Jedi Padawan, fills an exotic Jedi specialization role, while Cly Kullervo is a Mandalorian gunslinger representing an exotic Mandalorian class archetype.

The roster continues with Luco Bronc, an Umbaran sharpshooter and former Umbaran soldier who brings enemy-side experience to the squad, and Kabb Uppercut, a cybernetically enhanced Felshi mercenary whose boxing background defines a close-quarters combat style. Jae Mordant is a human operator and ore-baroness of Luunata, suggesting wealth and political connections beyond the battlefield. Finally, M-3VO is a bipedal utility droid who serves as both pilot and medic aboard the squad's ship, the Caisson.

These authored operators are distinct from custom recruits. While custom operators can be created and hired at the Den to extend the squad, authored operators carry fixed story arcs and unique dialogue that shape the campaign's narrative progression.

Base Personnel at the Den

The Den serves as Zero Company's hub — a social and preparation space where players manage equipment, build relationships with companions, and plan upcoming operations. Several non-combat characters reside here, providing essential services between missions.

Runa Blask, a Togruta voiced by Vic Michaelis, oversees operations and finance, making her a key figure for managing the squad's resources. Bennic Halloren handles Republic Intelligence matters, likely feeding mission briefings and strategic information to the team. Neesh Renark runs the armory and black market, giving players access to gear upgrades and potentially rare or illicit equipment to outfit their operators.

Antagonists and the Infinite Coil

The primary antagonist faction in Star Wars Zero Company is the Infinite Coil, a mysterious organization led by Kundri Fathom. While details about Fathom's species and full motivations remain undisclosed, they command the Coil's forces with an iron grip. Serving as Fathom's lieutenant is Visser, who leads the Infinite Coil's troops directly into battle.

Typhon, a super tactical droid, rounds out the villain roster as an asymmetrical warfare specialist with a particular fixation on something called the Shadow Plague. Additionally, Kevin Michael Richardson — known for roles in The Batman and Family Guy — voices a character named Gorga, revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con cast panel. The name aligns with the canon Clone Wars character Gorga the Hutt, which would connect naturally to Hawks' established debt to the Hutt clans.

Custom Operators and Squad Building

Beyond the authored roster, players can create custom operators to fill out their squad. These recruits are hired at the Den and can be built from a wide range of archetypes, including scoundrels, astromechs, and more. This system allows players to tailor their team composition to match specific tactical needs or preferred strategies for upcoming missions.

A critical distinction between authored and custom operators lies in permadeath. While Hawks is shielded from permanent death, other squad members — particularly custom recruits — may be subject to permadeath mechanics, adding genuine stakes to every tactical decision. Players should weigh the risk of deploying irreplaceable authored operators against expendable custom recruits when planning difficult engagements.
